Estimate your launch views
Enter the following of the account that will post the launch. The estimator shows what launches from accounts that size reached in the Doomers AI launch directory: the typical result, the middle half, and how often one passed a million views.
Typical launch from an account this size
Enter a follower count, like 3,000 or 12k.
Benchmarks come from launches in the Doomers AI directory, grouped by the account's following on the day it posted. Numbers like 12k or 1.4M work.
How many views does a launch on X get?
It depends on the following at launch far less than people expect. Accounts with over a million followers reach a million views most of the time. Accounts under 1,000 still put a launch past a million in a meaningful share of cases.
| Followers at launch | Launches | Bottom quarter | Median | Top quarter | Reached 1M |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Under 1,000 | 258 | 25K | 108K | 513K | 14% |
| 1,000 to 5,000 | 489 | 66K | 295K | 810K | 22% |
| 5,000 to 20,000 | 499 | 116K | 525K | 1.4M | 34% |
| 20,000 to 100,000 | 398 | 156K | 724K | 2M | 43% |
| 100,000 to 1M | 429 | 435K | 957K | 2.6M | 49% |
| Over 1M | 249 | 800K | 2.1M | 6.9M | 70% |
Following is measured on the day the post went out. A launch that took an account from 340 followers to 14,000 sits in the smallest band, where it started.
How to read the estimate
The directory tracks launches that got noticed, so it leans towards launches that travelled. Treat the median as what a launch that got some traction reached, and the bottom quarter as a realistic floor.
The range is wide in every band. The top quarter of small-account launches beats the median launch from accounts a hundred times bigger, which is why following is a weak guide to the result.
For what a single number means, what impressions on X count covers views and impressions, and what predicts a big launch covers the factors that matter more than following.
What moves a launch above the median?
- The first hours. X decides how far to show a post from how people react early. Launches that draw quote posts and replies in the first hours keep getting shown. How the X algorithm works explains why.
- Other accounts carrying it. A post from a small account travels when people with their own audiences quote it in the launch window. That is the job of creator amplification.
- A post built to travel. The product working on screen in the first seconds, and one line a stranger understands. Launch video strategy and how to write an X post cover both.
- The day and hour. Weekday mornings US time carry most big launches. When to launch has the data.
Launches far above their band
These are launches Doomers AI ran, each from an account in the smallest bands of the table:
- TypeSafe AI launched Jev from a founder account of about 1,500 followers. The post reached 40.1M views. The TypeSafe case study has the launch.
- Pine Computer launched from an account of about 1,200 followers and reached 24.3M views. The Pine case study breaks it down.
- Skyfall AI launched SKY-001 from about 340 followers and reached 5M views. The Skyfall case study shows how.
Questions people ask
How many views does a typical launch on X get?
It depends on the account. In the Doomers AI directory, launches from accounts with 1,000 to 5,000 followers had a median of 295K views, and launches from accounts with over a million followers had a median of 2.1M.
Can a small account get a million views on a launch?
Yes. A share of launches from accounts under 1,000 followers passed a million views, and launches from 1,000 to 5,000 followers did so more often. What decides it is how far the post travels in its first hours.
Where do these numbers come from?
From the Doomers AI launch directory, which tracks thousands of tech launches on X with their views and the poster's following on the day. The figures update as launches are read again.
Is the estimate a promise of views?
No estimate is. It shows what launches from accounts your size did, so you can plan against a realistic range rather than a hope.
