Bolt.new is the AI app builder used by more than 11 million people. Bolt Forge brought open models into Bolt with up to 50x more usage than Standard mode. One launch had to land a new product, a new way to pay for building and a set of open models with an audience that has seen every launch there is. It became the week.

The brief: two audiences, one launch

Bolt Forge put open models into Bolt's model picker, with up to 50x more usage than building in Standard mode and no usage charges, free until 14 October. GLM, DeepSeek and Kimi, inside a product that more than 11 million people already use to build.

Two audiences had to see it in the first hours. AI-native builders who know every model by name and judge a launch on the benchmarks, and business owners who want to build more for less and have no idea what GLM is.

Bolt needed both, without the paid ads either group scrolls past, and it needed the launch to carry a new product, a new way to pay for building and a set of models in one post.

What Doomers did

A timeline takeover, timed to the minute. Founders, engineers, operators and creators carried the launch the moment the post went live, from their own accounts and in their own words, so the first hour read as a cluster forming around open models rather than one company announcing a feature.

Two creator briefs. One for the AI-native crowd, built around the models and the benchmarks and what 50x usage means for a long build.

One for operators, built around what you can now build and what it costs. Same launch, two conversations, each in front of the people who have it.

A second wave 48 hours later. Bolt posted its first-week results, which model builders picked and by how much, and the network carried that post the same way.

The story kept moving after launch day instead of ending on it. The sequence is the one in our launch playbook: the day, then the follow-up with a number in it.

What it produced: the launch became the week

Three posts from @boltdotnew cleared two million views in launch week, led by the launch post itself. Bolt's X analytics put the account at 6.2M impressions across the week, three times the scale of any previous Doomers placement for Bolt.

The launch post stands at 2,228,462 views, with 2,147 likes, 254 quote posts and 2,272 bookmarks, and it became Bolt's most viewed post of the year.

The bookmarks outnumber the likes, which is the signal that builders were saving it to come back to rather than scrolling past. The launch post figures follow the launch directory and update daily.

Doomers turned a launch into a moment. Three posts cleared two million views in a single week, and the reach landed with exactly the builders we wanted.

The launch post, read closely

"Introducing Bolt Forge. Free until Oct 14th," then three bullets: up to 50x more usage, the new frontier of GLM, DeepSeek and Kimi, zero usage charges. Then where to find it, and "one more thing" with an arrow down into the thread.

The first line does three jobs. It names the product, it gives the reader a deadline, and it says free.

The bullets carry one number, three model names and one promise, in that order, so the AI-native reader gets the models and the operator gets the number and the price. The thread does the explaining, which keeps the post short enough to be carried.

"One more thing" is the piece most launch posts leave out. It tells the reader the post is the start of something rather than the whole of it, which is what let the rest of the week read as the same story.

Where it sits among Bolt's launches

Bolt's account posts launches regularly and they travel. Connectors in March did 943K views, a free domain for every Pro user in June did 1.1M, shared skills in July did 978K, and the security engineer release at the end of July did 1.1M, a number nobody expects a security announcement to reach.

Forge doubled the best of them. The account, its following of about 123K and its posting style were the same as in July. What changed was the amplification around the post, and the follow-up two days later that turned one launch into a week.

The post

Thirty-seven seconds of video, a deadline, a number, three model names and a hook into the thread.
