Every chart position, episode count and audience figure below was checked on 21 October 2026: Apple Podcasts' US Technology chart, each show's Apple listing, its YouTube channel and its X account. Where a show publishes its own audience numbers, we quote them and say so.
The launch figures come from the Doomers launch directory: 2,029 AI and technology launches posted on X between 7 January and 20 October 2026. We matched those companies against the 2026 show notes of 21 shows: every show in the table except Hard Fork, plus Sourcery, This Week in Startups and Sources.
What are the best AI podcasts in 2026?
The best AI podcasts in 2026 are TBPN for live tech news, The AI Daily Brief for a daily briefing, Latent Space and Dwarkesh Podcast for engineers and researchers, and No Priors, the a16z Show and Training Data for founders and investors. Pick by who you want to hear from and who you want to reach. The table sorts the shows by the listener they serve, with each one's reach on the three surfaces that matter for a tech audience.

Apple does not publish how its chart is calculated, so read the rank as momentum on Apple and the YouTube and X figures as audience size. Lex Fridman, Dwarkesh and All-In hold the largest YouTube audiences of the AI and tech shows, and Dwarkesh publishes its own figure: an average of 1.8 million views and listens per episode.
Which AI podcasts actually move launches?
TBPN is the AI podcast that moves launches. In 2026 it interviewed the founders or executives of 31 companies in our launch directory, 13 of them within 14 days of the company's launch on X and 9 on the launch day itself. No other show we checked had more than 4.
The reason is format. TBPN streams live on X and YouTube on weekdays from 11am to 2pm Pacific, so it can book a founder on the day the news breaks. Its 1.64M followers on X are the same feed the launch is running in.
| Show | Directory companies whose founders were guests in 2026 | Within 14 days of the X launch |
|---|---|---|
| TBPN | 31 | 13, of which 9 on launch day |
| The a16z Show | 4 | 1 |
| Latent Space | 3 | 1 |
| Sourcery | 2 | 1, on launch day |
| The other 17 shows | 0 to 1 each | 0 |
Method: we read every 2026 episode's notes from each show's public feed, cut the sponsor reads, matched company names from the directory and checked each match by hand. Name matching misses products that go by a different name, so these are floors. 20VC and This Week in Startups cover funding rounds often, in news segments.
What happens on podcasts after a big AI launch on X?
After a big launch on X, the podcasts arrive over the following two weeks. TypeSafe AI's launch, which Doomers ran, reached 40M views from an account with 1,500 followers on 15 September 2026. Seven of the 21 shows we track covered it within 14 days.
- 16 September. The AI Daily Brief runs an episode on the new class of "judgment models".
- 21 September. Latent Space interviews CEO Diogo Almeida. This Week in Startups links the launch in its show notes.
- 24 September. TBPN has Almeida on air, and its notes call it a launch that "has driven overwhelming demand". 20VC covers it in its news episode.
- 28 September. The a16z Show records Almeida with Ben Horowitz and Martin Casado. How I AI publishes a beginner's guide to the model.
- 30 September. How I AI follows with a second episode of use cases.
- 18 October. Lenny's Podcast gives the model a segment, five weeks out.
The launch came first and the coverage followed it. The TypeSafe AI case study has the launch itself, and the launch halo measures the same lag in Google searches.
Which AI podcasts reach engineers and builders?
Latent Space, Dwarkesh Podcast, How I AI and The Pragmatic Engineer reach the people who build with AI and choose the tools. Dwarkesh is the only one that publishes an audience survey: in June 2024, 40.8% of about 660 respondents were engineers and 24.3% were researchers.
- Latent Space (swyx and Alessio Fanelli). The AI engineer's show, with 237 episodes and a weekday news roundup called AINews. It says it passed 200,000 subscribers and 10M viewers across its channels last year.
- Dwarkesh Podcast. Long, researched interviews with lab leaders and researchers. 142 episodes, number 7 on Apple's US Technology chart and 1.45M YouTube subscribers.
- How I AI (Claire Vo). Guests share their screens and show how they use AI at work. 119 episodes, and two of them were about TypeSafe AI's model within two weeks of its launch.
- The Pragmatic Engineer (Gergely Orosz). Engineering teams and leaders, with 541K YouTube subscribers. Its newsletter runs no ads, and the podcast keeps a limited number of sponsor slots.
- Lex Fridman Podcast. The largest audience in the category at 5.06M YouTube subscribers and 5.55M X followers, with 14 episodes in 2026 so far, most of them several hours long.
- The Cognitive Revolution (Nathan Labenz). Weekly interviews and "AI scouting reports", with 388 episodes.
Which AI podcasts reach founders, investors and buyers?
No Priors, the a16z Show, Training Data, the YC Startup Podcast, All-In, BG2Pod, Acquired, Cheeky Pint and Lenny's Podcast reach founders, investors and the executives who buy software. Several are run by investors, which makes the firm's own X account part of the show's reach.
- No Priors (Sarah Guo and Elad Gil of Conviction). AI startups and research, 183 episodes, number 29 on the Technology chart.
- The a16z Show. Andreessen Horowitz's flagship, number 20, with the firm's 1.10M X followers behind it. It hosted four directory companies in 2026, TypeSafe AI among them.
- Training Data (Sequoia). AI founders on how they build, 112 episodes.
- Y Combinator Startup Podcast. 342 episodes on the YC channel, which has 2.42M YouTube subscribers. YC's X account posted 34 launches in our directory this year, 9 of which passed a million views.
- All-In. Number 3 on the Technology chart and 86 on the overall US chart. It covers AI as markets and policy news.
- BG2Pod (Bill Gurley and Brad Gerstner). Number 24, with 45 episodes, focused on tech markets.
- Acquired. Number 2 on the Technology chart and 70 overall, with long company histories about once a month.
- Cheeky Pint (John Collison of Stripe). Number 22 with only 38 episodes, which makes it the highest-charting show per episode on this list.
- Lenny's Podcast. Product and growth for AI-native teams, 366 episodes and 647K YouTube subscribers. Lenny's newsletter and podcast together claim more than 1,000,000 subscribers.
- 20VC (Harry Stebbings). 1,523 episodes, including a weekly news show that breaks down the rounds of the week.
How does a founder get on an AI podcast?
A founder gets on an AI podcast by being the news, then using the show's published route with the numbers in hand. Most shows publish a contact address and few publish a guest process. The routes below are the ones the shows publish themselves.
| Show | Published route | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| Latent Space | tips@latent.space for news and pitches, business@latent.space for sponsorship | Asks for about a month's lead time before major funding and product announcements |
| The AI Daily Brief | sponsors@aidailybrief.ai, speaking@aidailybrief.ai | Sponsorship and speaking enquiries |
| Dwarkesh Podcast | hello@dwarkeshpatel.com, plus an advertise page | Replies are not guaranteed. Sponsorship is sold by the quarter |
| TBPN | None published | Show notes show founders booked on the day of a raise or launch |
| The Pragmatic Engineer | Podcast sponsor slots, limited | The newsletter takes no ads |
- Launch where the hosts already read. Every host on this list is on X and TBPN streams there, so the launch post is the pitch they see first. How to launch a product on X covers the mechanics.
- Give long-lead shows the lead time. Latent Space asks for a month before a funding or product announcement. Brief it before launch day under embargo.
- Follow up with numbers. Views, signups and a demo give a producer the reason to book you this week.
- Match the show to the buyer. Engineers choose tools after Latent Space and How I AI. Investors and executives hear about you on No Priors, the a16z Show and All-In.
Is sponsoring an AI podcast worth it for a launch?
Sponsoring an AI podcast suits a steady quarter of brand-building, and a launch needs its reach inside 24 to 48 hours. Dwarkesh sells sponsorship by the quarter: mid-roll reads on about six episodes plus newsletter mentions, with category exclusivity. None of the shows we checked publishes prices.
If the budget is for launch week, spend it where the launch runs and let the shows follow, as they did for TypeSafe AI. If the budget is for the year, a quarter on Dwarkesh or the AI Daily Brief puts a developer product in front of engineers every week. Our guide to tech influencers covers the X side of that choice.
Do new tech podcasts launch on X?
New tech podcasts launch on X the same way products do, and the small ones can travel far. SOTA Wives, a podcast about Silicon Valley, posted its trailer from an account with 4,506 followers on 11 October 2026 and reached 1.7M views. etn, which calls itself Europe's first daily live technology show, launched to 418K from 13,010 followers.
That is new media working as distribution for the company behind it. If you are weighing a show of your own, start with new media strategy for non-media companies.
For the written side of the same audience, the best AI newsletters lists which ones reach builders and buyers, with subscriber counts checked.
