Pine Computer: 24.3M views from twelve hundred followers

Doomers launched Pine Computer on 9 October 2026 from founder Stanley Wei's account, which had about 1,200 followers that morning. A day later the post stood at 24.3M views, 10,766 times the following. It is the largest launch from an account under 5,000 followers in the directory and the second largest reach multiple we have ever measured. Taken apart.

A launch Doomers ran. Every figure below comes from the launch directory, which re-reads the post every 30 minutes while it is moving and daily after that. The ranks are from the morning after launch; the stamped figures follow the post.

What Pine launched

Pine Computer is a computer for an AI agent rather than a person. The agent gets its own browser window, files, downloads and tools, runs away from the user's laptop so the laptop can be closed, and can run several tasks at once in separate sessions.

A live desktop lets a person watch the current window and take over when a step needs a human, such as a login code, a CAPTCHA or an approval, then hand control back.

It comes from Pine, a consumer agent company founded in 2024 by Stanley Wei and Vincent Sun that sells an assistant for tedious chores, cancellations, negotiations and refunds. Pine raised a $25 million Series A led by Fortwest Capital in December 2025. Wei was previously Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Agora.

What the launch post did

The announcement went out from @StanleyWei4748 on 9 October 2026, from an account of about 1,200 followers. It stands at 24,277,784 views, 8,402 likes, 754 reposts, 569 replies, 359 quote posts and 3,065 bookmarks.

That is 10,766 times the following. On the morning after launch it was the largest launch from an account under 5,000 followers among the 569 the directory holds, the second largest reach multiple among 1,748 launches posted from accounts over 500 followers, and the 30th largest launch of the 1,860 we track, at about 32 times the directory's median.

For scale: the median launch in the directory does 726K views from a median account of several thousand followers. Pine did 33 times that from a fifth of the following, and the founder's account grew by three quarters in a day.

How it climbed

We read the post three times in its first day.

Afternoon, a few hours in83K81x
Evening4.3M3,430x
Next morning24.3M10,766x

The first reading showed the argument landing. At 83K views the post was being quoted at eight times the directory's rate and replied to at five times it, which is what a post with a position in it earns from the people who hold views on that position. The ranker reads that as a conversation forming and widens distribution.

The 103-second film did the rest. Once the ranker sent the post to people outside that first circle, they watched it through, and watch time is what the ranker pays for after the conversation signal has done its work. By the evening the post had passed 4 million, and by the next morning it was past 23 million and still climbing.

The copy, read closely

The post is four lines and a link. Line one is a claim the reader has an opinion about: AI is already smart enough. Line two names the problem in the reader's terms, slow, expensive, unreliable, and gives a cause, a computer built for humans wrapped in a heavy harness.

Line three turns the cause into the product thesis in nine words. Line four is the release.

The product name appears once, in the last line. There is no feature list, no pricing, no "excited to announce".

The argument is the post, the product is the answer to it, and the film carries the demonstration so the copy does not have to. Every one of the first hundred quote posts had something to agree or disagree with, and that is what started it.

What Doomers ran

The post was built to lead with the position and let the film demonstrate, and the first hours were carried by founders, builders and creators from the network whose audiences overlap the people who would want an agent to have its own computer. That first wave is what the ranker saw as a conversation, and the ranker took it from there.

The result is the largest launch from a small account we have measured, and it sits in a directory of 1,860. The case studies have the others.

What a company with a thousand followers can take from it

Lead with the position, name the product last. A post that opens with a claim people hold views on gets quoted in its first hour. A post that opens with "Introducing X" gets liked by people who already follow you.

Give the cause, not just the complaint. "Tasks are slow" is a complaint. "Because we hand AI a computer built for humans" is a cause, and a cause is something a reader can argue with in a quote post.

Make the film worth watching through. The argument gets the ranker's attention and the film keeps it. A long, watchable demonstration is what turns a first wave of a hundred quote posts into twenty million views.

Carry the first hour. The following does not matter once the ranker is distributing; what matters is who is in the post in its first hours. How to launch a product on X covers how that gets built.

Questions people are asking

What is Pine Computer?

A dedicated computer for an AI agent, from Pine. The agent gets its own browser, files, downloads and tools, runs away from the user's laptop, and a person can watch the live desktop and take over a step when needed. Pine says it recovers from browser failures and stopped tools without restarting the task.

Who is behind Pine?

Pine was founded in 2024 by Stanley Wei, previously Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Agora, and Vincent Sun. It raised a $25 million Series A led by Fortwest Capital in December 2025.

How did the Pine Computer launch post do on X?

Posted on 9 October 2026 from a founder account of about 1,200 followers, it passed 20 million views within a day and stands at 24.3M, 10,766 times its following, with 359 quote posts and 3,065 bookmarks. It is the largest launch from an account under 5,000 followers in the directory and the second largest reach multiple we have measured. The figures update with the launch directory.

Who ran the Pine Computer launch?

Doomers. The post led with the argument, the film carried the demonstration, and the first hours were carried through the network. The ranker did the rest.

Why did a post from 1,200 followers reach 23 million people?

The copy takes a position, that AI is smart enough and needs a computer built for it, and in its first hours the post was quoted and replied to at several times the directory's rate. The ranker reads that as a conversation forming and widens distribution.

Then the 103-second film held everyone the ranker sent, and watch time carried the post the rest of the way.
