The read

This is an AI-generated ad, and it is the clearest measured example of one we hold. The video was made with Runway Agent, the company's own product, and the claim in the post is the whole pitch: $9 and ten minutes. Thirty seconds, 1920x1080, no voiceover credit, no agency.

It reached 2,150,049 people from an account with 60,065 followers, 36 times its own following, and ranks 76th of the launches we track.

Two things about it are worth separating, because they get conflated whenever an AI-made ad travels.

The production cost is the hook, not the reason it worked. Nine dollars is checkable against the video in the time it takes to watch, and a reader can form a view without knowing anything about the product.

That is a well-built opening. It would have worked at $90 or $900 as long as the number was surprising relative to what was on screen.

The reach was bought with watch time, not endorsement. 53 reposts on 2.15 million views is 25 per million, against a median of 195 across everything we measure. Saves came in at 7.5 per ten thousand against 10.1.

So the platform carried this a long way and very few people put their name to it. A short video with a surprising claim is exactly what a ranker optimising for watch time will push.

Runway Agent had already shipped months earlier, which makes this a relaunch rather than a launch. The fuller version of that story is here, including the ten-account creator campaign the company ran in July that this single post out-reached five times over.

One caveat on the engagement figures. This post is days old and video views land far ahead of reposts, so the endorsement rate should be read again before it is treated as settled.
